35 years ago, Mr. Justo Quesada Samper's visionary approach began to give shape to an ambitious dream: to create from scratch a real city which would play a leading role in launching residential tourism on the Costa Blanca. This was the birth of Ciudad Quesada.
Thousands of people from all over Europe supported this first great project to be carried out by our company's founder, and it became a model of a services city in every way, offering amenities which for the time were considered daring and unimaginable, such as a nine-hole golf course and a landing strip for light aircraft.
Ciudad Quesada is now a reference in 21st Century Spain, one of the country's leading real estate developments, with over 20,000 homes built on an area of 10 million m2 and further areas still under development. It also stands out for its impressive range of services open all year round: eight banks, an abundance of food stores, two medical centres, a service station, a Water Park, five supermarkets, a Norwegian state school, a town hall and the La Marquesa golf course.
Different nationalities living together in harmony has strengthened the bond between Ciudad Quesada's thousands of residents. In fact, it is the only urbanization which celebrates the fiestas of its own patron saint held every August, on San Justo day, with a fiesta committee and the participation of the Town Council of Rojales, the municipality which Cuidad Quesada forms part of.
